I know that you are feed up with all of media frenzy over war and nations and politics, think of what we could accomplish, if we believed we belong to the tribes of humans/neanderthals that transcended across the globe. Humans are species much like the whales and dolphins of this planet. Image if we destroy almost all living species, they are just forks in a long road of evolution. The Big Bang or the beginning of the universe and billions of years of cosmic and planetary evolution has forged this moment in time.
We as a species are still tribal, even the belief in same God across religions forges pagan battles fighting over the lands and resources for the last 10,000 years while time ticks on the nuclear clock.
Our Science has been the one thing where we are progressing by leaps and bounds some say the technology will surpass humans or merge with humans as the neanderthals did. I don't know the actual figures but the money spent on military out spends our investment in science, unless the science is for the military.
The problem is too much historical hate.
